Hola mi familia! Estoy aquí en Madrid!
I miss you all already but I´m also just super excited to be here! The plane ride to Paris was totally fine…I slept the entire way and the dinner was delicious! The only difficult part was that I had a TV screen in front of me with the access to all the movies in the world that I couldn´t watch haha ;)
I was worried about finding my way in the Paris airport so I prayed that Heavenly Father would help me and He answered me by sending me 5 Hermanas and 2 Elders on their way to Madrid too! In the 2 hour layover we had I already made so many good friends! Hermana Camisa (Her real name is Sister Shurtz (pronounced “shirts”) so we had fun making a joke out of that. She´s from St. George and is going to the Madrid mission. My temporary companion is Hermana Carmen from Wyoming and she is going to the Malaga Spain mission too!
After we arrived in Madrid, we shoved all our luggage into three cars and drove about 20 minutes to the CCM (Centro de Capacitacion de Misioneros?…I think I totally butchered that). The first thing I saw was the temple! It´s so beautiful! I heard that this temple has the most beautiful celestial room and I can´t wait to see for myself! The buildings are all red brick and are beautiful even though they´re worn down. After we arrived, we were given a tour of the floor and found our classrooms. Mine includes Hermana Shurtz and Carmen, and another Hermana, Hermana Shakes, from Viriginia. Plus one Elder. Typical.
The people here are already so nice! I have to get used to the “besos” (kisses) from the Hermanas haha! Right now I’m waiting to be interviewed by the Mission President. And dinner is at 7 which I CANNOT wait for! I haven´t received my missionary tag yet which I can´t wait for! Well I´m being timed, I´ll email again whenever I have the time…I promise I´ll have more exciting things to talk about ;)
I love you all! I can already feel your prayers! The church is true! Stay Gold.
Love,
Your Hermana Mañana
